Department/Unit: Adult Cardiac Cath Lab Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $71,612.39 - $110,999.20 Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals who perform diagnostic examinations requested or directed by an Interventional Cardiologist during invasive and non-invasive cardiology and peripheral vascular procedures. They collect subjective data and record information to establish correct anatomical and physiological diagnoses for patients. Hourly Range: $26.36 - $42.18 Essential Duties and Responsibilities Participate actively in all phases of the peri-procedural process. Manipulate procedural instrumentation under the supervision of an Interventional Cardiologist. Manage supplies and equipment necessary during invasive cardiology procedures. Anticipate the needs of the Interventional Cardiologist. Maintain sterile fields vigilantly. Operate independently for basic procedures and with minimal supervision during advanced procedures, functioning as a circulator under RN supervision. Perform emergency on-call duties as required. Qualifications Associate's Degree - required Graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Training Program - required Graduate from an accredited Allied Health Program - required 1-3 years of experience in the cardiovascular specialty - required Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, and equipment operation. Ability to prepare for and respond to adverse events and emergencies during procedures.
