Machine Shop Production ManagerOxnard, California - Posted on July 22, 2026 Published By O'Neil LettsWe are seeking a hands-on and results-driven Production Manager - machine shop to lead day-to-day operations in our machining department.This individual will be responsible for overseeing personnel, production schedules, and job execution, ensuring parts are moving, spindles are turning, and delivery timelines are met. The ideal candidate has prior manufacturing experience, a strong understanding of shop floor operations, and the leadership skills needed to drive team performance and accountability.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage VTL machining production to ensure jobs are executed on time, with high quality and efficiencyMonitor and manage workflow, labor allocation, machine utilization, and job priorities throughout the dayMaintain clear communication between production, engineering, and quality departmentsTrack job status and ensure parts are staged, released, and delivered according to scheduleSupport first-shift operations across VTL machining production, assisting in troubleshooting delays or issues as they ariseMonitor key performance metrics such as machine uptime, throughput, and schedule adherenceCoach, mentor, and develop team members while enforcing expectations and accountabilityParticipate in daily production meetings and communicate shift-level performance updates to leadershipCollaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve machine issues and reduce downtimeUphold a culture of safety, cleanliness, and continuous improvement across the floorThis is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week plus overtime as needed.
