Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) – Veteran Client | [Town], NJ Pay: $20.50 per hour

Location: Burlington, NJ

Employment Type: Part-Time, Variable Hour, Start Aug 11th

Schedule: Tues & Thurs 1pm-4pm

About This Case

Home To Stay is seeking a compassionate Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) for a Veteran Affairs (VA) client in Burlington, NJ. The client requires assistance with mobility, meal preparation, and household tasks to safely remain independent at home. We are looking for a dependable caregiver who enjoys providing one-on-one support while delivering high-quality care to our nation's Veterans.

What This Client Needs

• Supervision and assistance with ambulation and transfers

• Meal preparation and cooking

• Light housekeeping, including:

  • Bathroom cleanup

  • Cleaning living areas

  • Washing and putting away dishes

  • Changing bed linens

  • Cleaning any messes made during the shift

• Companionship and emotional support

• Documentation of care provided according to the care plan

Responsibilities

• Assist the client with activities of daily living while encouraging independence

• Provide supervision during ambulation and transfers

• Prepare meals and assist with cooking

• Perform light housekeeping as outlined in the care plan

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Complete required documentation accurately and on time

• Follow all Home To Stay policies and VA care guidelines

Requirements

• Active New Jersey CHHA certification

• Reliable, compassionate, and professional

• Ability to safely assist with ambulation and transfers

• Reliable transportation to and from the client's home

VA Case Requirements

• This is a Veteran Affairs (VA) client.

• Services may only be provided in the Veteran's home.

• The Veteran must be present in the home at all times while the CHHA is providing services.

• No transportation, shopping, or errands are authorized for this case.

Client Attributes

• Non-smoking home

• No cats in the home

• No dogs in the home

• No Hoyer lift required

• No driving of the client's vehicle

• No driving of the caregiver's vehicle required
