Job Description

Job duties include operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, cleaning equipment and facility, delivering products by car, and navigating adverse terrain. Requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Access to an insured vehicle for delivery is necessary. Training and orientation are provided on the job.

Communication skills are essential for comprehending and giving correct written instructions, and for verbally communicating with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

Essential functions and skills include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately, make correct monetary change, enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen, navigate adverse terrain, and read a map to locate addresses within a designated delivery area.

Work conditions include exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions, in-store temperatures ranging from 36 degrees in cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas, sudden changes in temperature, fumes from food odors, exposure to cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces/tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensing abilities include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.

Temperaments include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work along and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.

Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, driving, pushing, climbing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, and reaching are all part of the job.
