Job Description
Support the Emergency Department Medical Director in administrative and clinical leadership, including performance appraisals, complaint management, and quality improvement initiatives. Lead special projects and committee work while serving as backup director when needed.
- Assist with staff performance appraisals, APP oversight, and personnel complaint management
- Chair special projects and participate in hospital committees (Trauma, Disaster, STEMI, Peer Review)
- Lead process improvement initiatives for MEC efficiency and door-to-provider times
- Support recruitment, credentialing, orientation, and team morale efforts
- Assume Medical Director responsibilities in their absence and cover equitable share of clinical shifts
