Job Full Description

We are currently seeking motivated Millwrights to hire in the Queensbury, NY area . The ideal candidate will have prior mechanical maintenance experience and/or the willingness to learn. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing sawmill equipment to ensure safe and efficient production operations.

Tasks for Millwright:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment including front-end loaders, edgers, trim saws, planer mills, and dry kilns
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic hoses, pneumatic systems, minor electrical components, chains, and belts
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and track parts usage
• Collaborate with team members to resolve unexpected equipment failures
• Ensure all maintenance activities follow safety protocols and industry standards

Qualifications for Millwright:

• Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Experience repairing chains and belts preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Familiarity with sawmill or lumber mill operations is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred
