Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician at Jabil, Inc. is responsible for performing a variety of skilled duties to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and facilities, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and safety.Job Responsibilities:Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on production machinery, facility equipment, and building systems.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to SMT lines, automated assembly machines, and test equipment.Troubleshoot and resolve electrical control problems, including PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) issues, motor controls, and sensor malfunctions.Perform routine inspections to identify potential problems and proactively address them to minimize downtime.Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to aid in troubleshooting and repair.Complete necessary documentation for maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and parts requisitions.Collaborate with production teams to understand equipment performance issues and implement effective solutions.Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Job Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or vocational certification in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment.Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent troubleshooting skills.Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems (up to 480V), including motor controls, sensors, and PLCs.Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.Familiarity with various hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments.Basic computer skills for data entry and work order management.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.Availability for on-call duties and shift work as required.Be aware of fraud: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
