Job Description

The Pharmacy Technician – Fulfillment supports the safe and accurate preparation and distribution of prescription medications within a fast-paced micro fulfillment center. You will prepare prescriptions using a fulfillment system, resolve prescription and insurance issues, and provide support to patients, prescribers, and pharmacists. This role offers a contract-to-hire path and is an excellent opportunity for newly certified technicians to gain valuable experience in a non-retail pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare prescription medications accurately using the pharmacy fulfillment system in accordance with applicable regulations and internal procedures.

• Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and addressing issues that prevent prescriptions from being filled.

• Conduct outreach to members and physicians as needed to clarify prescription details, resolve issues, or obtain additional information.

• Assist with inbound and outbound patient calls, providing clear and professional communication regarding prescription status and related inquiries.

• Work efficiently at an assigned station in a micro fulfillment center, maintaining productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced, assembly-line style environment.

• Follow all standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to pharmacy operations and medication handling.

• Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to minimize errors in data entry, labeling, and medication preparation.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Pharmacy Technician certification or license as required by the state of operation.

This is a Contract position based out of Mechanicsville, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
