Location: Mesquite, TX 75149
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour (Resume Required)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (Possible Overtime)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Painter to join our team in Mesquite, TX. This position is responsible for the startup and active monitoring of the Paint Booth System while ensuring high-quality paint application and adherence to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various paint operations as assigned by the Leadership Team.
• Operate paint equipment and make necessary settings and adjustments to ensure proper paint application.
• Inspect paint jobs during production for quality issues such as runs, missed areas, or imperfections.
• Perform daily routine maintenance on paint equipment.
• Clean the paint booth, lights, and replace filters as needed.
• Follow customer job orders and daily travelers accurately.
• Report production and quality data to the supervisor.
• Maintain responsibility for paint quality and accuracy.
• Adjust and finish products using spray cans or other finishing methods as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in the Mesker Safety Program.
• Train in additional paint workstations as proficiency increases.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support company goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Basic math skills, including fraction and decimal conversions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Basic problem-solving abilities.

Physical Demands

• Operate hand and power tools used for paint application.
• Handle materials such as metal, poly, glue, and related products.
• Lift up to 75 pounds repetitively.
• Push and pull carts weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Perform repetitive tasks including twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
• Wear all required PPE while performing job duties.
• Work in a moderate to loud manufacturing environment.
• Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
