Coffing Electric is seeking an experienced Lead Electrician to oversee electrical projects, manage crews, and ensure high-quality execution across residential and commercial jobs in Mount Vernon and surrounding Central Ohio communities.
This is a senior-level role for electricians who take ownership, hold high standards, and want to work for a company that respects leadership and experience.
Position OverviewAs a Lead Electrician, you’ll be responsible for jobsite leadership, technical execution, and mentoring apprentices. You’ll work closely with project managers and customers to deliver safe, code-compliant, and professional electrical work.
Key Responsibilities- Lead electrical projects from rough-in through final inspection
- Supervise, train, and mentor apprentices and junior electricians
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and scopes of work
- Coordinate with homeowners, contractors, and internal teams
- Ensure all work meets NEC, local code, and company standards
- Manage materials, tools, timelines, and jobsite organization
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and professionalism on all jobsites
- Extensive electrical experience with leadership responsibility
- Strong working knowledge of NEC and local codes
- Proven ability to manage crews and jobsite execution
- Professional communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
