Responsibilities and Duties Required 

• Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with buyer to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit. 
• Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods. 
• Responsible for planning for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk via the shipping instructions. 
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. 
• Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand always.
• Make pickups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company vehicle, as required.
• Pull material per work order and complete all paperwork requirements and complete the proper transactions in the ERP system when required.
• Responsible to implement and perform material cycle counts as scheduled.
• Review and ensure accuracy of pick ticket documents and work orders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement with department objectives.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. 
• Responsible for packing of all outgoing shipments per work instructions. Maintain area to align with 6S activities.
• Assist in Stock Room as needed.
• Other responsibilities as requested, directed, or assigned. 

Qualifications and Skills Required 

• One year of factory-related experience in shipping and receiving.
• Ability to adapt to change

Licenses Required:

Forklift certification required.

Drivers License.

Job, Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift, move, transport and load items across the building up to 50 pounds at times. 
• Must be in good physical condition and be able to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for length of shift.
• May be required to work on slippery and uneven surfaces. 
• May be exposed to physical hazards from moving equipment, heavy equipment, and machine parts.
• Specific coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of equipment. 
• May work in close proximity to others.

Visual Acuity:

• Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected.
• Close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to read computer screen and documents.

Hearing Ability:

• Normal hearing or corrected to normal. 
• Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes to take appropriate action. 

Working Conditions:

• Factory environment.
• Occasional work outside normal business hours.
• High noise levels from operating machines.
• Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
• Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.
• Skin exposure to chemicals associated with manufacturing.
