About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission of providing essential services and programs for individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership, public policy, and advocacy, as well as managing internal and external relationships. This includes serving as the key spokesperson, increasing public awareness of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, and advocating on their behalf at local, state, and national levels. The CEO will also work closely with the Board of Directors to define priorities, build teamwork, and refine the strategic growth plan to position the organization as a leader in the field. Applicants for the CEO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in strategic leadership, with a proven track record. A Bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be a financially savvy and politically astute leader, with excellent coalition-building and communication skills. Experience in board development, fundraising, marketing, and fiscal management is essential. The role demands a passionate, mission-driven individual with a strong understanding of governance and general management best practices, who is committed to quality programs and data-driven evaluation. The CEO will also be responsible for organizational development, including identifying growth opportunities and working with the Board of Directors on succession planning for the Executive Team.
