Location 2800 10th Ave Receiving Dock Minneapolis, MN 55407-1311 Date Posted January 08, 2026 Job Summary Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Fellowship – a 12‑month program designed to train cardiovascular specialists in Advanced Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CMR) and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (CCT). Fellows will independently acquire, post‑process, and interpret CMR and CCT studies and will complete required Level III training per ACC 2015 Core Cardiovascular Training Statement. Key Position Details One‑year paid fellowship starting July 1, 2025. Additional duties: one weekend per month rounding and half a day per week in clinic. Must be board‑eligible or board‑certified in cardiology and eligible for unrestricted Minnesota State Medical Licensure. Voice of academic center: 1.5T Siemens Aera MRI, two dual‑source CT scanners (Siemens Force and Flash), and state‑of‑the‑art post‑processing software. Program Overview Fellows complete hands‑on supervised clinical training with one‑on‑one teaching from level‑III CMR and CCT attending physicians, participate in research and educational activities, and handle a high volume of studies: 8‑10 CMR studies, 25‑30 cardiac CTAs, and 15‑20 coronary calcium scores daily. Advanced CMR techniques include pharmacologic stress imaging, adult congenital heart disease evaluation, arrhythmia substrate imaging, and quantitative myocardial blood flow. Weekend and Clinic Duties Work one weekend per month at campus (no additional charge). Attend half a day/week in the outpatient clinic. Responsibilities Direct patient care: review medical history, synthesize data, make recommendations and coordinate care. Provide education, consultation, or intervention to patients and families. Practice with consideration for cultural diversity, autonomy, and legal responsibilities. Chart electronically in compliance with licensure and scope. Participate in multidisciplinary team case management. Work in ambulatory, inpatient, or outpatient settings and may participate in on‑call rotation. Engage in peer review, quality assurance, and other assigned duties. Utilize quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement. Qualifications M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent from an approved medical school. Licensed physician in Minnesota, board‑certified or eligible for board certification. ACLS/BLS Tier 3 certification upon hire. DEA registration upon hire. Prescription Monitoring Program certification upon hire. National Provider Identifier upon hire. Physical Demands Medium work: lift up to 32 lbs occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy) and up to 25 lbs frequently. Pay Range $75,000 to $95,000 per year – base rate depends on experience, education, and union agreement.
