Senior Accountant

Job Title Senior Accountant – Manufacturing Salary $80,000 – $100,000 per year About the Role We are seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team, with a focus on supporting our manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and driving process improvements across our accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of manufacturing cost structures, inventory accounting, and financial controls. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision 401(k) with company match Generous PTO and sick leave Exponential career growth opportunities Hybrid work environment Job Details Key responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing cost accounting processes, overseeing general ledger activities, supporting budgeting and forecasting, collaborating with operations and supply chain teams, ensuring GAAP compliance, coordinating audits, identifying and implementing process improvements, and mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation. Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accurate journal entries. Support budgeting and forecasting processes, particularly for manufacturing operations. Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to align financial reporting with production metrics. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies. Coordinate and support internal and external audits. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred). 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
