We are seeking motivated Production Operators with manufacturing or machine operation experience to support bakery production operations while maintaining the highest quality and food safety standards.Shift Availability2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday - Friday3rd Shift: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM, Sunday Night - Friday MorningOvertime AvailableWhy Join Us?Stable, long-term career opportunityUnion position with annual wage increasesStrong potential for permanent hireInternal advancement and cross-training opportunitiesConsistent overtime availableSupportive team environmentCareer growth within a well-established manufacturing companyJob ResponsibilitiesOperate manual and automated production equipment safely and efficiently.Mix and combine ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.Review and follow Manufacturing Execution System (MES) production orders.Inspect finished products for quality, cleanliness, lot codes, and expiration dates.Perform production line sanitation and cleaning procedures.Complete pre-operation equipment inspections and checklists.Operate packaging equipment and ensure proper labeling and coding.Record accurate production data using MES systems.Monitor and report line performance and downtime using OEE systems.Conduct quality checks and complete required documentation.Follow allergen control procedures and food safety requirements.Support batching, bagging, packaging, and general production activities.Use scanners and computer systems to support inventory and traceability processes.Follow all GMP, SQF, HACCP, and SOP requirements.Participate in cross-training for processing and packaging operations.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.Required QualificationsMinimum 2 years of manufacturing, production, machine operation, or related experience.Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment preferred.Ability to operate manual and automated production equipment.Basic computer skills and ability to learn MES and OEE systems.Ability to follow detailed instructions and SOPs.Strong verbal and written English communication skills.Ability to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to work overtime as needed.Strong attendance and reliability record.Ability to pass required assessments and physical examination.Comfortable wearing required PPE, including hair nets and safety glasses.Preferred QualificationsFood manufacturing experience.Production, batching, or packaging experience.Experience in food, chemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.Machine operator experience.Knowledge of GMP, CGMP, SQF, and HACCP standards.Strong math skills for measurements, batching, and production records.Experience using scanners and computerized production systems.Ability to work across multiple production departments.Work EnvironmentFood manufacturing facility operating under GMP and HACCP guidelines.Non-climate-controlled production floor.Hot conditions during summer and cold conditions during winter.Work around production and packaging machinery.PPE required, including hair nets, safety glasses, and work boots.No jewelry permitted on the production floor.Strong focus on safety, sanitation, and quality standards.Apply today to begin a rewarding career with a leading food manufacturer offering stability, advancement opportunities, and long-term growth!Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pennsauken, NJ.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.41 - $22.89/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
