Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders by conducting invasive and non-invasive tests in the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems.
- Operate specialized imaging and physiologic equipment (including C-Arm and angiographic injectors); assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; maintain and troubleshoot equipment; document results.
- Monitor patient vital signs throughout procedures; enforce radiation safety practices, including columnation, shielding, and immobilization as appropriate.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow strict infection control practices; adhere to aseptic technique during all procedures.
- Support complex procedures and contribute technical knowledge to improve practice; scrub and monitor during structural heart, vascular, diagnostic, and emergent cath cases; assist during procedures involving opaque media and other adjunctive techniques.
- Document in the electronic health record (EPIC) and participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives; report equipment malfunctions and perform basic preventive maintenance.

Requirements
- Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent; catheterization experience preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required; radiologic technologist license in the practice state (CA) and HI required; current fluoroscopy license required in CA within 6 months of hire; Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR from an approved provider.
- Experience: At least two years of recent cath lab or equivalent cardiovascular imaging experience; strong familiarity with scrubbing and monitoring in structural heart, vascular, diagnostic, and emergent cath cases; EPIC experience preferred.
- Other: Ability to work in a fast-paced cath lab environment; must meet state requirements for licensure and be able to travel to the assignment location as scheduled.
