Step into a dynamic opportunity serving elementary and middle school students in a vibrant educational environment. This full-time contract role focuses on providing Speech-Language Pathology services in school settings, with one dedicated Home & Hospital visit weekly, allowing you to make a broad impact across various learning contexts.
Your expertise in pediatric speech therapy will support a caseload averaging 55 students from August 6 to May 27. You'll collaborate with educators and families to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), fostering meaningful growth in communication and academic achievement for every child.
What we’re seeking:
- Valid CA Speech-Language Pathologist license, with ASHA CCC
- Prior experience with elementary and middle school populations
- Strong background in school-based and pediatric SLP services
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads and deliver tailored interventions
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
- Experience conducting assessments, implementing therapy, and tracking progress
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication therapy to students in K-8 settings
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop targeted IEP goals
- Provide one weekly Home & Hospital visit for specialized student support
- Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to optimize student progress
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations and timelines
- Engage in IEP meetings and parent conferences as needed
