Position Overview :

A facility in OR is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a long-term Locum Tenens assignment to support a permanent vacancy. This is a full-time, hospital-based practice role with a consistent outpatient-focused schedule and integrated inpatient support when needed. This role offers structured clinic hours, a collaborative care environment, and a long-term, stable assignment for continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care to established and new patients.
Manage a full-time clinic schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00 AM 6:00 PM (includes 12 1 PM lunch, pre-charting, and documentation time)
Oversee patient treatment plans and ongoing oncology care.
Supervise and collaborate with APPs (NPs/PAs), nursing staff, and infusion teams and provide clinical guidance to APPs and nursing staff regarding treatment parameters
Respond to treatment reactions in the infusion suite and manage urgent clinical needs until rapid response arrives
Review and sign chemotherapy orders; collaborate with nursing for administration
Field patient questions and clinical triage during clinic hours
Participate in a hospital-based oncology practice requiring full hospital privileges
Maintain documentation in Epic EMR
