Financial ControllerA healthcare company is seeking a strong Financial Controller to oversee its back-office accounting and finance functions.This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the day-to-day accounting operation, financial reporting, cash management, and the team and processes behind them. This is a great opportunity for a strong accounting professional to break into the healthcare/SNF space - prior healthcare experience is not required.ResponsibilitiesOversee the accounting and finance back-office functionsManage the monthly close and preparation of monthly financialsOversee accounts payable and related processesManage cash flow, cash reporting, and day-to-day cash managementOversee healthcare cost reporting and related financial requirementsReview account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedulesEnsure accounting processes are accurate, timely, and well controlledManage, train, and develop accounting staffEstablish strong processes, workflows, and accountability across the departmentWork closely with leadership and other departments to resolve issues and keep financial operations moving efficientlyCoordinate with external accountants, auditors, and other financial partners as neededRequirementsStrong accounting background with experience in public accounting, ideally with a large national or leading regional accounting firmExperience transitioning into or working within a private-company accounting environment preferredClient service or client relationship experience strongly preferredStrong understanding of financial reporting, accounting processes, and internal controlsExcellent management skills with the ability to lead both people and processesHigh level of drive, ownership, and follow-throughStrong communication and interpersonal skillsHealthcare experience is a plus, but not required
