Network Administrator

Network Administrator MidSMS is hiring a Network Administrator Mid to support our Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) contract. This position will provide Tier 2 Network Administration support augmenting Air National Guard Communications Squadron personnel in operating NIPR and SIPR Base Area Network infrastructure. SMS is headquartered in McLean, Virginia, with offices and on-site operations at customer locations throughout the United States.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide remote Network Operations Center support from forward-deployed location ensuring continuity of NOC operations and distributed network management capabilitiesServe as backup NOC operations capability providing redundancy for centralized NOC functionsMonitor assigned network infrastructure and systems from remote locationCoordinate with primary NOC personnel ensuring seamless handoff of monitoring and management responsibilitiesProvide NOC management decision-making support during primary NOC disruptions or contingency situationsPerform network monitoring, incident response, and troubleshooting activities independentlyMaintain proficiency with all NOC tools, processes, and proceduresSupport distributed operations model enabling resilient network management during crisis or disaster recovery scenariosCoordinate with on-site base personnel for localized network issuesEnsure continuous network monitoring coverage and operational awarenessParticipate in NOC training and readiness activitiesMaintain secure communications and coordination channels with primary NOCRequired QualificationsEducation: BA/BS DegreeExperience: 5 YearsCertifications RequiredCisco CCNA or equivalentCompTIA Security+CEClearance RequiredDoD Secret security clearanceSMS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
