Manager, Finance

Finance Manager responsible for day-to-day accounting functions at SeaWorld and Sesame Place San Diego. Works with the Corporate Property Support Financial Team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the park’s accounting records and reports in accordance with US GAAP. Reports to the Vice President Finance and works with various levels of park management. Responsibilities Prepare journal entries, review G/L account reconciliations, coordinate period‑end accruals and operating expense reporting and analyses. Review accounting reports and financial statements for errors and work with corporate to correct. Oversee internal accounting controls, ensuring SOX compliance. Generate financial reporting documents and develop ad‑hoc analyses for internal customers. Provide input and guidance on accounting questions. Review product coding to ensure correct general ledger accounts. Approve contracts, DOAs, and purchase/service requisitions. Coordinate audit requests (internal, external, local tax audits). Budget and track cost‑center and labor costs. Create schedules, approve time off, and provide daily guidance for direct reports. Perform special projects and other duties as necessary. Act as liaison between park leaders and the Finance team, build and develop partnerships with department leaders. Support Sesame Place San Diego. Qualifications At least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred in accounting, finance, or related business discipline (degree required in Accounting or Finance). CPA preferred. 3+ years SAP knowledge required (S4 experience preferred). Quickly master proprietary systems, applications, and report writers. Strong multitask orientation and ability to meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills; English proficiency. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Intermediate Excel skill required; familiarity with Microsoft Office. Annual Compensation Range: $75,000 – $85,000 annual.
