Admissions Coordinator

St. Joseph Hospice

The Carpenter Health Network is building an exceptional team to navigate a full post-acute care continuum!

We are hiring an experienced, self-driven, motivated Admissions Coordinator for our central intake in Baton Rouge, LA

Job Duties:

  • Assisting with the coordination of patient admission and transfer process
  • Complete insurance verification and authorization
  • Communicate with clinical liaisons regarding patient status
  • Efficiently manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate documentation, and utilize various systems and software to support daily operations.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

  • Candidate should possess previous working experience with insurance companies to include verifications, authorizations, and referrals.
  • Excellent customer service skill required to answer incoming calls, that includes family members and referring entities.
  • Minimum of 6 months previous experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.

Only candidates with appropriate experience will be considered.
