Role SummaryThe Admissions Coordinator (Intake) supports timely, accurate outpatient admissions by coordinating referral intake, documentation, and payer readiness at Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital (Baton Rouge, LA 70816). Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.Key responsibilities include:- Manage intake calls/referrals, complete inquiry documentation, and maintain intake logs- Review referral packets against criteria and escalate questions appropriately- Coordinate admission communication with physicians and the Director of Nursing- Prepare new patient charts, face sheets, episodes of care, and insurance details- Complete insurance verification once the physician accepts the patient- Contribute intake metrics for QAPI reportingRequired qualifications/skills: - 2–3 years psychiatric admissions experience preferred- Proficiency with Microsoft Office- Organized, self-directed, and able to work with minimal supervision- Strong documentation accuracy and professional communicationApply through the careers page at PackageApollo Behavioral Health Hospital provides a competitive salary, a good work environment, and good benefits package that includes holiday pay, PTO, health, dental, vision, Life Insurance 401(k) plan, and profit-sharing plan. Much of the rhythm is documentation-driven: confirming demographics, aligning payer information, and keeping intake tracking current so status is clear at a glance. You’ll also have frequent touchpoints with clinical leadership—sharing updates, clarifying next steps, and closing loops so decisions are timely. As volumes shift, you’ll prioritize the most time-sensitive items, keep records audit-ready, and ensure each intake is captured for QAPI trending at Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital.
