Senior Scientist, Cell Pharmacology

Xilio Therapeutics seeks a Senior Scientist in Cell Pharmacology to develop and execute cell-based assays supporting immuno-oncology drug discovery. The role involves designing functional assays, implementing automation, and generating data to advance the company's tumor-activated therapeutic pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute functional cell-based and cell-free in vitro assays for drug discovery programs
- Design and implement automation strategies using liquid handling robotics to increase assay throughput
- Conduct phenotypic assays, reporter gene assays, binding assays, and enzymatic cleavage experiments
- Culture primary human tumor and immune cells for ex vivo experimental work
- Mentor junior scientists and represent cell pharmacology function at project team meetings
Requirements
- BS/MS/PhD in Biology or related field with 7+ years (BS), 5+ years (MS), or 3+ years (PhD) post-graduate experience
- Strong background in immunology, IO, or T-cell engager development
- Proficiency with flow cytometry, ELISA, and MSD-based assays
- Expertise in primary human cell culture and cell-based assay development
- Experience with liquid handling automation and robotics for high-throughput screening
- Technical skills in western blots and protease characterization assays
Compensation: $126,000-$147,500
