Surgical Technician

Level 4 Cardiac Surgical TechnologistWe are seeking an experienced Level 4 Cardiac Surgical Technologist to support complex cardiac procedures in a high-acuity academic hospital setting. This role involves working in the cardiac OR, assisting surgeons during advanced cardiovascular procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique. Strong Memorial Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center and major academic facility, handling complex cardiac cases and high patient volumes.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical field for cardiac proceduresSet up and manage cardiac surgical instruments and equipmentAssist surgeons in the scrub role during proceduresAnticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficientlyPerform surgical counts and ensure sterile technique complianceSupport room turnover and case preparationHandle surgical supplies and equipment safelyParticipate in team briefings and quality initiativesCardiac Case Exposure (Critical):CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)TAVR proceduresHeart failure devices (VAD, ECMO)Complex cardiac and vascular surgeriesRequired Qualifications:Minimum 2+ years of recent Cardiac OR experienceCertified Surgical Technologist (CST – NBSTSA) requiredNew York Surgical Tech License requiredBLS Certification (AHA) requiredAbility to scrub (and sometimes circulate) in cardiac casesDiverse Lynx LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
