Position Summary Supervises and oversees the maintenance and repair tasks on trucks and trailers. Major Tasks and Responsibilities Supervises cross‑functional partners on mechanical work on trucks and trailers. Instructs mechanics on proper diagnosis of failures and correct repair practices. Maintains detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities. Performs inspections, services, and repairs on trailers. Uses specialized equipment to perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance work. Diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical issues on trailers and dollies. Tracks and maintains service information on all mechanic‑related activities. Prepares reports on maintenance activities and vehicle and equipment status. Minimum Qualifications At least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED. Authorized to work in the United States. Must provide and maintain personal maintenance tools. Read, write, communicate, and comprehend the English language to perform job tasks, including interacting with co‑workers and the public, understanding oral and written instructions, and completing documents and reports. Preferred Qualifications Six years of diesel mechanic experience. Proficiency in diagnostic software. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods. Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying of tools, parts, and equipment up to 100 pounds. Regular use of hands and arms for handling tools, reaching overhead, and working in tight spaces. Ability to climb on, under, and around large trucks and equipment safely. Adequate vision (with or without correction) to read gauges, manuals, and perform detailed inspections. Adequate hearing (with or without aids) to detect equipment sounds and follow safety signals.
