Head of Finance and Controller About the Company High-growth healthcare services organization Industry Hospital & Health Care Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Controller / Head of Finance to take on a pivotal role in building and leading its internal finance function. This is a hands-on position that demands a proactive individual who can thrive in a complex, high-growth environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and stabilizing accounting operations, partnering with external resources to enhance financial processes, and establishing a robust financial infrastructure. The role also involves long-term strategic planning, including the development of budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting, as well as providing the leadership team with actionable financial insights. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years' of progressive accounting and finance experience, with a strong preference for those who have worked in healthcare or similarly complex, multi-entity environments. Key skills include the ability to build or rebuild financial processes, a hands-on and detail-oriented approach, and the capacity to operate effectively in an ambiguous, fast-paced setting. The role requires a strong communicator with a collaborative, no-ego approach, who is comfortable driving change and can lead a small internal accounting team. This is a unique opportunity to be the first true in-house finance leader at this scale, with direct exposure to the founder and executive team, and the chance to shape the function and team in a mission-driven healthcare environment.
