Your role You will lead day-to-day operations, support team performance, and ensure service standards are consistently delivered. Assists in arranging and ensuring that special requests or special needs items for our guests are in place prior to theirarrival. Escorts VIPs in the Hotel, as requested by Sales staff or the General Manager. Openly engage in dialogue with service-oriented departments and staff to develop strategies aligned with our branding for improved and measurable results. Accumulate basic knowledge about the hotel’s amenities, rates and packages, meeting & event space and F&B facilities. Shows rooms, conduct site visit tours, as needed. Develop a strong understanding and acumen for the Property Management System employed by McCormick Scottsdale. Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen and understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information. Conduct periodic guest service training sessions in departments throughout the hotel to ensure basic principles of elevated guest service are adhered to. Develop programs to improve our guest service interactions and reduce guest complaints. Work closely with the Operations Supervisor to develop guest resolution suggestions and processes for use by the front desk staff. Work closely with all departments to promote Trip Advisor and the important role it plays in our hotel success. Oversees overall day-to-day hotel operations as delegated by the General Manager/Director of Ops Generates through proper supervision of assigned departments projected revenue levels as well as guest satisfaction. Participates in the development of short term and long term financial and operational plans for the hotel. Ensures that guest satisfaction is consistently obtained. Ensures the efficient and effective operation of the Housekeeping and Front Office Departments. Remains current on business trends and local activities. Hires, fires and performs performance evaluations, as well as training and development of employees under supervision. Ensures proper handling of guest complaints. Assists in the development of new programs which result in an increased level of guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Maintains compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor. 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality. High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Certification in hospitality management, operations, or safety programs preferred. Bilingual skills may be preferred based on workforce demographics.
