Associate Marketing Manager, Travel

Job Title Associate Marketing Manager, Travel Overview People Inc. is seeking an Associate Marketing Manager to join our Lifestyle team, contributing to the category strategy and revenue for our Travel vertical. In close partnership with the Travel Digital Sales team and Travel/Luxury Print Sales team, you will manage the pre‑sale process and play a strategic role in driving revenue growth with advertising partners. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Marketing on the Travel vertical. Location & Hybrid Work Hybrid role based in NYC, requiring a minimum of three days in the office each week. This hybrid role allows remote work for up to two days per week. Key Responsibilities Manage proactive and RFP responses, creating smart, strategic ideas for advertising partners in the Travel vertical. Collaborate across the People Inc. portfolio to create sellable opportunities for advertisers that are grounded in our brand’s most influential franchises and tentpoles. Lead internal conversations with People Inc. brands and verticals to communicate high‑value opportunities to the Travel sales team on a regular basis. Bring ideas to life through well‑written and visually‑appealing proposals that represent our brands, capabilities, and ideas flawlessly. Partner closely with Editorial, Content Strategy, Research, Account Strategy, and Design to ensure proposals effectively communicate our unique value proposition. Develop strong relationships with the sales team, become experts on their business, and provide support on client calls as needed. Integrated proposal development (75% of time): creative brainstorming, strategic writing, designing proposal, liaising with appropriate teams to gather all information. Presentation development (20%): category presentations, program sell‑sheets, etc. Fostering relationships with outside brand teams to bring opportunities to the travel vertical (5%). Qualifications Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree. Experience: 2‑3 years relevant experience at a digital and/or print publisher, with a focus in pre‑sales marketing; background in Travel category is a plus. Skills and Abilities: Excellent creative writing and storytelling skills; experience with visually impactful presentations (Keynote, PowerPoint). Strong communication skills, poised under pressure and able to tailor messages for different audiences. Understanding of digital advertising landscape, products, and trends; knowledge of print and/or programmatic marketplace is a plus. Proactive self‑starter, aligns with organizational goals, moves initiatives forward. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. Pay & Benefits Pay Range (NewYork): $67,000.00 - $72,000.00. Additional compensation may include annual bonuses and short‑ and long‑term incentives.
