Electrical Construction Manager

Construction Manager – Electrical (Data Center Construction) Location: Childress, TX (100% Onsite) Employment Type: Long-Term Contract Contract Duration: 12-Month Contract with Opportunity to Extend Pay Rate: Up to $70.00/hour (Flexible Based on Experience), Overtime is time and a half Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 6 days per week. Employees receive a scheduled week off periodically , with the timing determined by the project manager based on project needs. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to support the construction of a large-scale data center in Childress, TX. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing onsite electrical construction activities, overseeing subcontractors, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring all electrical systems are installed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications. Reporting to the Electrical Project Manager , you will lead the onsite electrical team from preconstruction through commissioning and final punch list while serving as the primary technical resource for all electrical construction activities. Key Responsibilities Manage daily electrical construction activities and oversee electrical subcontractors and vendors to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project requirements. Lead the onsite electrical team and provide technical guidance throughout all phases of construction. Coordinate electrical work with civil, structural, architectural, and mechanical disciplines to ensure successful project execution. Support equipment startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities. Verify systems are construction complete and ready for safe startup and commissioning. Facilitate startup and coordination meetings with project managers, subcontractors, design teams, utility companies, and clients. Review and coordinate electrical submittals to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compatibility with other building systems. Process Requests for Information (RFIs), design revisions, and change documentation. Perform field verification of control lines, benchmarks, and construction layouts as required. Serve as the primary electrical technical advisor for the onsite construction team. Assist with electrical budgeting, manpower planning, and project staffing. Manage electrical subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and change orders. Coordinate owner training for electrical system operations and maintenance. Maintain quality control throughout construction, commissioning, and project closeout. Required Qualifications Experience Minimum 5 years of electrical construction experience . Experience managing electrical construction on industrial, mission-critical, data center, semiconductor, or other high-tech manufacturing projects . Experience working in active or live high-tech facilities preferred. Strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical construction systems . Experience coordinating commissioning and startup activities. Technical Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint). Experience using construction management software including: Procore Prolog E-Builder Microsoft Project Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and survey information. Familiarity with CSI construction specifications. Strong quality control and document management experience. Leadership Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to lead multiple subcontractors in a fast-paced construction environment. Ability to remain effective under changing schedules and high-pressure situations. Team-oriented with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Education Bachelor's degree in: Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent field experience). LEED Accredited Professional certification is preferred or willingness to obtain within 18 months. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout active construction sites for extended periods. Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs and work in confined spaces.
