About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years experience in a large hospital preferred. License: Active state RN license or compact license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Must have experience with advanced care level drips. Ability to read and interpret EKG strips. Willingness to obtain N95 fit testing prior to employment. Description: Winter jobs available! Contract lengths of 13 or 18 weeks offered. Must be available to work at least every other holiday. This unit cares for advanced care level patients with mixed acuity. Prior experience in advanced care or step down is preferred. Patient ratios target 1:4 but may range up to 1:5-6. The unit participates in a team nursing model to enhance patient care and workload. Nurses may function in either team nursing or primary nursing roles as needed. RTO of no more than 7 days will be approved. Travelers must be able to float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units. Must float to different campuses as determined by staffing needs. Every other weekend and holiday availability is required. Travelers are not eligible for internal incentives. Medical exemptions for vaccination will not be accepted. Candidates must have experience in telemetry and cardiac care. Expectations include managing various patient conditions like chest pain, CHF, and stroke rule outs. Candidates will be expected to perform skills such as starting IVs, titrating drips, and caring for patients post-procedure. Floating within the facility may occur based on skill sets and patient needs. Comfort with floating to other units without restrictions is essential. Epic charting experience is preferred.
