Real Estate Legal Assistant

Position Overview Meyer Capel, A Professional Corporation, is seeking a professional legal assistant to support attorneys in our Champaign office in the areas of business law, real estate, and estate planning and administration. Prior law office or comparable experience is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities Prepare real estate contracts, order title insurance, and assist with closing documents. Prepare Illinois Secretary of State filings for corporations and limited liability companies. Assist with contract drafting and closing documents for business sales and purchases. Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate documents for court filing. Assist with and witness the execution of estate planning documents. Notary Requirement If the selected candidate is not already a notary public, they will be expected to cooperate with the firm in applying for a notary license.
