Senior Plumbing Designer

ICT's Nashville office is looking for a Senior Plumbing Designer to join the team! This role would work on multidisciplinary projects using Revit.

General Duties:

• Manage multidisciplinary projects from concept through construction, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment.
• Deal directly with clients/owners to determine specific project needs.
• Lead mechanical design for healthcare facilities including hospitals, free standing emergency departments, ambulatory surgery centers and medical office buildings.
• Perform load calculations, equipment selection, powerhouse, mechanical room, instrumentation, controls, energy management, ductwork and piping design.
• Utilize Revit to create 3D models including families, schedules and system layouts.
• Be familiar with and apply applicable codes and owner guidelines.
• Review project submittals ensuring project compliance.
• Conduct project due diligence and construction administration trips.
• Prepare technical reports, project assessments and project specifications.
• Coach and support new engineers in developing technical and professional skills.

Skills:

• Understanding and experience using Revit to produce building construction documents
• Capable of increasing technical competency with experience and work ethic.
• Ability to effectively communicate with architects, owners, and contractors.
• Knowledge of building codes including ASHRAE, NFPA 99, and Tennessee Building Codes.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a strong team.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of plumbing and mechanical engineering principles in the field of building construction.
• Experience in the design of commercial, educational, and manufacturing building design

Location: Nashville, TN Travel: 10% (Relocation Assistance will be considered)
