Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
Provides specialized perioperative nursing care to surgical patients, supporting surgeons and anesthesiologists throughout procedures. Ensures patient safety and comfort, adhering to aseptic techniques and operating room protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists by preparing and handling surgical equipment, supplies, and instruments.
• Maintain a sterile environment and apply aseptic principles during all surgical phases.
• Monitor and assess patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Operate and troubleshoot all standard operating room equipment efficiently.
• Safely handle, dispose of biohazardous materials, and document tissue and allograft conditions.
• Collaborate with surgical team to optimize patient care and respond to emergent situations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least one year of recent operating room nursing experience.
• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Demonstrate competency in aseptic techniques and equipment operation.
• Exhibit reliable knowledge of pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care protocols.
• Prefer CNOR certification and experience in ortho, neuro, or trauma specialties.
