In-House Attorney - Vendor Contracts Professional Houston, TX

Job Description The Reynolds and Reynolds Company is seeking an In-House Attorney to handle a wide variety of complex legal matters and projects with a primary focus in vendor contracting. The specific job functions will include: reviewing, negotiating, and drafting vendor agreements; coordinating sophisticated strategies with outside counsel; advising on current legal matters and developments with the law; providing general support to the company’s sales and operations departments; understanding and translating complex legal concepts for all levels of business personnel; and other legal matters facing the company. This position requires travel up to 25% of the time and will be based out of our facility in Houston, Texas. Requirements Doctor of Jurisprudence from an accredited law school. Currently licensed to practice law in the United States, preferably in the State of Texas. Prefer 3+ years of experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel in a corporate setting, preferably with a focus in vendor contracts. Exercise exceptional legal reasoning, analysis, and contract drafting abilities. Possess strong negotiating skills and reasoned judgment. Must be adaptive and able to work productively both independently and as a member of a team. Must be able to communicate effectively with executive and associate level employees both orally and in writing. Must be coachable and willing to learn.
