Dental Assistant I

Dental Assistant I – North American Dental Group (NADG) – Port St Lucie, FL – Salary: $21.00–$24.00 per hour Responsibilities Provide excellent chair‑side clinical support and assistance to doctors and hygienists, including charting, operatory set/clean‑up, and patient education. Record and review patient health history, make chart entries under the doctor's direction, and ensure completion of forms and signatures in dental software. Review the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments. Prepare patients, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, maintain chain of asepsis, prepare materials, and assist dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines. Expose and develop dental diagnostic radiographs. Follow OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X‑ray safety, and other required certifications and registrations. Required Skills Proficiency in charting and operating dental software. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records. Knowledge of office protocols for patient preparation and instrument sterilization. Comfortable with radiography and related diagnostic techniques. Excellent communication skills for patient education. Awareness of OSHA and HIPAA regulations. Qualifications Dental Assisting Certification or equivalent on‑the‑job training. 1–5 years of experience preferred; new graduates will be considered. State‑licensed radiography/X‑ray certification. CPR certification required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patients.
