Outside Sales Representative - Building Materials & Construction Products

Our client is seeking A confidential manufacturer and distributor of specialty building components is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow a defined territory within the Dallas–Fort Worth market. This role focuses on developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and supporting customers across commercial and residential construction projects. The ideal candidate thrives in a field‑based environment, excels at relationship building, and is comfortable interpreting architectural drawings to prepare accurate quotes. No Visa Sponsorship Location: Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex Work Schedule: Field‑based, Monday–Friday Compensation: Competitive base salary ($85K–$95K) + commission (1.75%–2.5%) + full benefits Responsibilities: Field Travel — Spend the majority of the workweek visiting customers using a personal vehicle. Quote Preparation — Review architectural drawings and project specifications to generate accurate quotes. Territory Prospecting — Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within an assigned geographic area. Account Management — Maintain and grow existing customer relationships across contractors, builders, architects, and project stakeholders. Order Coordination — Collaborate with internal departments and external contractors to ensure smooth order processing and project execution. Qualifications (Must-Haves) All education levels will be considered. Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Self‑motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a field‑based role. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and translate them into accurate quotes. Experience selling architectural glass, metal products, or specialty building materials is strongly preferred. 3+ years of outside sales experience in building materials, construction products, architectural components, or a closely related field. Preferred Skills: Demonstrated success in a hunter‑style sales role. Existing relationships with contractors, architects, builders, or developers in the DFW market.
