Industrial Maintenance Technician 2nd shift

Industrial Maintenance Technician 2nd shift Souderton, PA Full-Time $24 - $30 Hourly 401k, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Vision 1. Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues on production equipment. 2. Troubleshoot and repair saws, slicers, grinders, mixers, conveyors, packaging equipment, vacuum sealers, scales, labelers, printers, and metal detectors. 3. Perform intermediate-level electrical work involving motors, sensors, switches, and control wiring. 4. Conduct equipment alignments, adjustments, and rebuilds as needed. 5. Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs to minimize production downtime. 6. Execute preventive maintenance tasks with minimal supervision. 7. Identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions. Documentation & Continuous Improvement 1. Complete and maintain work orders, PM checklists, and parts usage records within the CMMS system. 2. Recommend improvements to preventive maintenance programs, SOPs, and parts standardization. 3. Participate in root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures. 4. Support continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and reliability programs. 5. Provide feedback regarding equipment upgrades and process improvements. Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance 1. Perform all work in compliance with USDA/FSIS, HACCP, SSOP, and GMP requirements. 2. Use approved food-grade lubricants and materials in production areas. 3. Ensure equipment is properly reassembled following sanitation activities. 4. Support pre-operational inspections and food safety readiness. 5. Perform maintenance work during both production and sanitation shifts as needed. Production Support 1. Communicate equipment status with production supervisors and operators. 2. Assist with line setup, tooling changes, and production changeovers. 3. Train operators on basic equipment care and autonomous maintenance practices. 4. Support production efficiency and equipment reliability efforts. Facility Maintenance 1. Perform maintenance on plumbing systems, pumps, valves, steam systems, hot water systems, and basic HVAC equipment. 2. Assist with cooler and freezer equipment maintenance. 3. Provide basic refrigeration support when trained and authorized. 4. Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and parts inventories. Safety 1. Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, fall protection, and chemical handling requirements. 2. Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately.
