Job Description
The Recovery Room Nurse plays a critical role in the postoperative care of patients following mixed surgical procedures. This role involves close monitoring of patients' vital signs and overall condition to ensure a safe and smooth transition from surgery to recovery. The nurse provides necessary medication, educates patients on postoperative care, and collaborates with the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient condition continuously after surgical procedures
- Assess and record vital signs accurately and regularly
- Provide specialized postoperative care based on surgery type
- Administer medications as prescribed and manage pain relief
- Educate patients and families on recovery process and care instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) diploma
- Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
