Speech-Language Pathologist

The Speech-Language Pathologist assesses, diagnoses, treats, and helps to prevent communication and swallowing disorder in children experiencing communication problems that affect classroom activities, social interaction, literacy, and learning. Essential Functions include screening, evaluating, and providing speech-language therapy for students with identified speech-language impairments as needed. The position also involves supporting student support teams, managing speech-only caseloads, instructing students/families in communication technologies, maintaining records, participating in meetings, drafting special education documents, and performing speech/language evaluations. Supervisory responsibilities are not formal. The candidate should demonstrate adaptability, integrity, teamwork, and professionalism. Minimum qualifications include a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology, three years of speech/language work experience, and three years of teaching or special education experience. Desired qualifications include advanced degrees, data analysis skills, and proficiency with educational technologies.
