Production SupervisorThe Production Supervisor executes on a single shift within a designated production area, delivering safety, quality, and production goals in real time. This role owns shift-level execution and the development of the team on that shift making the real-time decisions that keep the line running to the standards set above it and modeling the Weaver Culture in all actions and interactions.Living the Weaver Values: expected to lead as someone who is Committed, Trustworthy, Purpose Driven, of a Positive Mindset, and Growth Oriented advancing our mission to grow our People, Popcorn, and Prosperity.Essential FunctionsSafety & SanitationEnforce safety protocols and SOPs across all shift operations; goal is zero OSHA recordables.Identify safety issues, determine root cause, and implement long-term resolutions.Ensure cleanliness and organization of the production floor throughout and at shift end.Escalate unresolved safety concerns to the Department Manager and Director of EH&S.Quality & Food SafetyEmpower team members to own food safety and product integrity; ensure GMPs, allergen control, and sanitation standards are met and enforced.Verify sanitation completion, non-conforming material procedures, and startup verifications.Manage quality incidents in Safety Chain and launch root-cause analysis; ensure timely closure of corrective actions.Conduct line checks and confirm documentation and physical compliance; support monthly quality training and close QPI audit opportunities.Production & EfficiencyManage line efficiency through proactive planning of materials and staffing.Monitor OEE, line output, scrap, waste, and performance trends; adjust operations in real time to downtime, material, or demand changes.Ensure Line Leads document downtime clearly (LEDS and End-of-Shift Reports); escalate downtime, quality, or safety issues.Ensure demand prioritization and production-schedule adherence.Talent Development & Team ManagementSupervise and coordinate daily activities of team members and line leaders; provide coaching, recognition, and feedback.Conduct and document performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and attendance-point tracking.Lead daily pre-shift meetings; encourage growth through cross-training and skill development; lead alignment with the Weaver Culture.Cross-Functional CoordinationCommunicate effectively with Maintenance, Sanitation, and Quality teams.Support WME initiatives and participate in Continuous Improvement workstreams or pillars.Systems & ReportingProficient in AS400 (schedules, negative-inventory reports, BOMs, scrap reporting, inventory reconciliation).Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, LEDS, Safety Chain, and Windows OS.Complete thorough downtime shift reports with solutions and responsible parties clearly stated.Continuous ImprovementActively engaged in WME and AMD activities; ensure and coach basic problem-solving when triggered.Understand losses across the cells (scrap, downtime, waste); review skill matrix, training, and validations through CSD.Success MetricsShift safety (recordables/near-miss reporting), food-safety and quality compliance, OEE and output, scrap/waste, schedule adherence, and team member development for the shift.Leadership CompetenciesReal-time decision-making and problem-solvingCoaching and developing front-line team membersSafety and food-safety leadership on the floorCommunication and conflict resolutionOwnership of shift KPIsServant leadershipRequirementsQualificationsMinimumMust be able to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties effectively and safely.High school diploma or GED.2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food or CPG.Strong understanding of food safety, quality standards, and production KPIs.Effective communicator with solid decision-making and conflict-resolution skills.PreferredAssociate or technical degree.Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and lead a team while driving change.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentThis role performs essential functions on an active food-production floor. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods (up to a full shift); frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs; reach, bend, stoop, and occasionally climb stairs, ladders, or platforms and work at elevated heights. Work environment includes exposure to moving machinery, wet and slippery surfaces, temperature variation (ambient, refrigerated, and elevated-heat areas), and elevated noise levels.Required personal protective equipment (hearing protection, safety footwear, hairnets/beard nets, and other GMP-required PPE) must be worn at all times on the floor.
