Computer Numerical Control Programmer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer role based in Houston, TX. The CNC Programmer will create, review, and optimize CNC programs for complex, tight-tolerance components, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and efficiency. Responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings and 3D models, selecting appropriate tooling and cutting parameters, and setting up or assisting in the setup of CNC machines for lathe and milling operations. The role involves collaborating closely with machinists, engineers, and quality team members to resolve manufacturing issues, improve cycle times, and reduce scrap. Programmer will set with the estimating team. Day to day responsibilities will involve running rough estimates for the quoting team using CAM, and also programming jobs that are awarded to the company. Qualifications Proficiency in CNC Programming and Programming for multi-axis machining centers using CAM software. Fusion 360 is our internally provided CAM software. Strong Machining and Milling skills, including hands-on experience with CNC equipment and tooling setup. Ability to read and interpret Technical Drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols. Experience with CAM software and CNC controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, or similar) is strongly preferred. Solid understanding of cutting speeds, feeds, workholding, and material properties for metals and composites. Demonstrated attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality and safety on the shop floor. Previous experience in a precision machining or aerospace/defense manufacturing environment is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or associate degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field is preferred. Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX, collaborate in a team environment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production setting. #J-18808-Ljbffr
