Compensation Overview The annual base salary range for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries across the country. The actual salary will be determined by factors such as scope, complexity, location, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, and other conditions of employment. Employees are also eligible for performance‑based cash incentive awards. Salary Range $146,400.00 – $241,600.00 Target Openings 1 What Is the Opportunity? As an AVP, Product Management within the Product team, you will manage the profit and loss of a state(s), product, or line of business. You will oversee competitor and market analyses, financial line leadership, and influence business strategies. Additionally, you will translate ambiguous business needs into strategies and solutions, collaborate with partners, and ensure talent development, resource planning, and timely delivery of high‑quality work. Open until August 24th 2026. Responsibilities Lead a team to analyze business problems, determine trends, and apply judgment to meet profitability goals. Partner with stakeholders (sales, underwriting, etc.) to develop profit and growth strategies, product positioning, and marketing approaches. Negotiate rate changes with various channels and develop business review packages documenting the changes. Make fact‑based strategic decisions informed by market, competitor, regulatory, claims handling, and distribution data. Develop and maintain relationships with state regulators through regulatory meetings, department visits, and industry group participation. Present strategic overviews of assigned regions to senior management. Assess, prioritize, influence, and communicate strategic initiative options to senior leaders. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Administration, Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related analytics field. Eight years of experience in a mathematical, analytical, or data‑related role, preferably in financial services. Deep understanding of Travelers’ business strategy and ability to align with enterprise goals. Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all organizational levels. Exceptional data analysis skills with the ability to interpret trends and report insights to partners. Proven leadership skills, managing change, developing employees, and aligning resources to key objectives. Thorough knowledge of pricing and actuarial techniques and concepts such as loss development and trending. Expert understanding of insurance product workflow, terminology, and profit/loss impact. Must Have Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience. Six years of experience in data analytics or similar work.
