Associate Attorney – Social Security Disability
Established Social Security Disability law firm based in West Caldwell, New Jersey, seeks an Associate Attorney to join a practice that has served clients for over 30 years. The firm focuses on Social Security Disability claims and appeals.
The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience practicing as an attorney and must be a current New Jersey resident. Prior experience with Social Security Disability matters is preferred, but strong litigation, hearing, administrative law, or plaintiff-side experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities- Represent clients in Social Security Disability matters through the administrative process and appeals.
- Review medical records, procedural files, and supporting documentation to prepare claims and case strategy.
- Draft legal briefs, appeals, letters, and other advocacy materials.
- Prepare clients for hearings and communicate with clients, treatment providers, and agency personnel.
- Maintain an organized caseload and meet filing and hearing deadlines.
- Federal Court filing experience
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
- Must be a current resident of New Jersey.
- Strong writing, advocacy, and case management skills.
- Experience with Social Security Disability cases preferred.
