IT Tech Lead

Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Tech Lead in Tampa, FL. Summary: We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to provide technical direction, establish development standards, and mentor a team of software engineers in a fast-paced Agile environment. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong hands-on development expertise with proven leadership experience and the ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development teams by establishing technical standards, best practices, and architectural direction
- Partner with architects and stakeholders to design scalable, cloud-based solutions
- Ensure development teams remain aligned on technical priorities, quality standards, and delivery objectives
- Mentor developers, conduct technical reviews, and support troubleshooting complex issues
- Identify risks, recommend solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to Agile planning, backlog refinement, and technical roadmap discussions
- 8+ years of software development experience with prior Technical Lead or Engineering Lead experience
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, and AWS Cloud technologies
- Experience designing enterprise applications, APIs, and modern cloud-native solutions
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and software development best practices
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to lead and influence development teams, including distributed or offshore resources
- Experience with event-driven architecture, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, or GitLab
- Exposure to enterprise ERP integrations and large-scale digital transformation initiatives
