Desktop SupportDecatur Store - Decatur, TX 76234OverviewSalary Range $19.00 - $21.00 Position Type Full-Time/Part-Time Job Shift Day Travel Percentage Up to 25% Category Information TechnologyDescriptionDecatur, TXJob Type Full-Time Status Non-Exempt Travel Approximately 30% travel required Relocation No relocation assistance provided Candidate Requirements Local candidates preferredDuties/ResponsibilitiesInstall and configure computer hardware, software, network printers, and scanners Monitor and maintain computer systems and related equipment Respond to service requests and technical issues in a timely manner Provide technical support across the company, including remote locations and out-of-state sites, both in person and remotely Set up accounts and equipment for new users Troubleshoot, repair, and replace equipment as necessary Run and terminate network cabling Work with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues Test and evaluate new technology solutions May be asked to assist other departments during periods of staffing shortages or increased workload Participate in on-call support rotation Perform other related duties as assignedRequired Skills/AbilitiesMinimum 5 years of desktop support experience Strong technical and logical troubleshooting skills Excellent problem-solving abilities Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to lift and carry equipment as neededEducation and Experience5 years of help desk or desktop support experience 5 years of Windows support experiencePhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of standing and working on equipment Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times Ability to perform repetitive movements over extended periods Must be available to work nights and weekends on a rotating basisAll positions are subject to background checksBenefitsDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceExperienceHelp desk: 5 yearsWindows: 5 yearsWork Location: In person NRS (National Roper's Supply)
