Description Job Summary/Objective Riverence is seeking an experienced Aquaculture Supply Planning & Biometrician to support integrated farm production planning, biometric analysis, and supply forecasting across Idaho operations. This role converts farm, biological, environmental, inventory, harvest, processing, sales, and logistics data into actionable plans that improve production reliability, biomass utilization, cost visibility, and service to customers. The ideal candidate brings strong quantitative skills, practical knowledge of salmonid production, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with farm operations, demand planning, processing, finance, IT, and senior leadership. This position reports to the VP of Farm Operations and works closely with the COO and other leaders to develop, maintain, and communicate production plans, forecasts, key performance indicators, and decision-support tools that advance Riverence’s strategic and operational goals. Essential Functions - Key Objectives of this Role Lead integrated farm supply planning across brood, hatchery, grow-out, harvest, processing, demand planning, sales, and logistics. Develop and maintain short-, mid-, and long-range production plans, including egg production, stocking, biomass growth, harvest timing, size distribution, inventory, and processing availability. Build and maintain biometric models for salmonid growth, survival, feed conversion, mortality, harvest yield, and production risk. Use biological, environmental, operational, and financial data to identify supply and demand gaps, recommend actions, and support weekly and monthly decision making. Partner with farm operations to improve data quality, sampling practices, forecasting accuracy, and production accountability. Prepare KPI dashboards, variance analyses, production reports, and scenario models for operations and senior management. Coordinate with finance and operations to improve cost visibility, inventory valuation, production economics, and planning assumptions. Support implementation, optimization, and long-term ownership of operational planning, ERP, reporting, and farm technology systems. Develop and update SOPs, training materials, and reporting processes that improve consistency, timeliness, and accuracy of farm and planning data. Collaborate with IT and system owners to improve integrations among ERP, processing, harvest, farm management, and reporting systems. Promote transparency, education, and accountability through clear communication, practical analysis, and follow-through with cross-functional teams. Identify process improvement and automation opportunities, including appropriate use of emerging technologies and analytics tools. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities Maintain weekly production planning tools, biomass forecasts, harvest projections, and supply-demand alignment reports. Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs related to growth, survival, feed conversion, biomass, inventory, harvest performance, processing needs, and forecast accuracy. Review farm data for completeness and reasonableness; follow up with operations to resolve gaps, anomalies, or process issues. Facilitate planning meetings with farm operations, processing, sales, logistics, finance, and leadership to align supply plans with operational and customer needs. Prepare scenario analyses to evaluate stocking strategies, harvest timing, production constraints, inventory positions, and cost impacts. Support month-end activities related to inventory, cost accounting, production reporting, and operational variance analysis. Monitor system outputs and integrations; coordinate issue resolution with IT, ERP, farm management, and reporting system owners. Train users on planning tools, KPI interpretation, data entry expectations, and standard reporting processes. Competencies Uncompromising integrity and sound judgment. Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills. Practical understanding of aquaculture production, salmonid biology, farm operations, and production constraints. Ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations for operational teams and leadership. Strong planning, prioritization, and follow-through across multiple time horizons. Advanced skills with Excel, data modeling, query tools, reporting platforms, and visualization tools. Working knowledge of ERP, planning, farm management, and business intelligence systems. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Collaborative, hands-on approach with the ability to build trust across departments.
