Behavior Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Assistant to join our team. The Behavior Assistant will play a crucial role in providing support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities. This position requires experience working with patients with intellectual disabilities, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a Level 2 background screening. The ideal candidate should be committed to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in their daily activities and routines.
Implement behavior support plans as directed by a Behavior Analyst or supervisor.
Provide one-on-one support to individuals as they work towards achieving their goals.
Document and maintain accurate records of individuals' progress and behavioral data.
Provide transportation to individuals to and from appointments or community outings (valid driver's license required).
Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for individuals at all times.
Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and other team members.
Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
Accurately track and report hours worked.
Adhere to all company policies, ethical standards, and confidentiality guidelines.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is required.
Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts as needed.
Patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing quality care.
Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment.
