Job Description
Registered Nurse - ICU

Schedule

12-hour night shifts; 18:45 - 07:15, with at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.

Assignment Details

36 hours can be offered per week. Floating required as needed to Med Surg (1:6 ratio).

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required.
• Current ACLS and BCLS certifications are mandatory.
• Skills in IV start, telemetry, cardiac telemetry, titration of cardiac drips, use of rapid response teams, feeding tube management, heparin protocols, and PCA.
• Experience with ventilated patients and wound care preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as PYXSIS and EPIC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Monitor and assess patient health status and make necessary interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Participate in rapid response situations and manage ventilated patients.

Compliance / Notes

Must pass EKG testing prior to start. All missed shifts should be made up within the same week if possible; if not, time should be added to the end of the contract to make up the missed shift.
