Travel Nurse Position

Required skills and certifications include a minimum of 2 years of experience, traveler experience, and specific skills in vents, IV start, neuro intensive care unit, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drains (EVD), ICP monitoring, post neurosurgery management, care of ventilated patient, isolation precautions/use of PPE, lumbar drain experience. Certifications include ACLS and BCLS. Preferred skills include arterial line management.

Job details include ratios of 2:1, can flex up to 3:1 in high census, average daily census of 11-12, 36 hours can be offered, 12-hour nights from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, RTO of 7 days max for AYA auto offer, no call requirement, float requirement, every other weekend. Patient diagnoses include strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used include EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring). Special equipment includes EVD, lumbar drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM, and Arctic Sun. Unit systems include Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR. Scheduling type is per the unit needs. Unit orientation is 24.0 hours; 2 days or 2 nights. Scrubs are navy blue and white.
